Advice Together
We are a partnership of over 25 charities, community groups, housing associations, and council projects that are dedicated to providing services to the public, especially to those most vulnerable in the community. The partnership operates a secure referral network to support clients who face multiple problems and may need help from more than one agency. The partnership also meets periodically to share best practice, discuss topical issues, and to improve the Advice Together partnership’s work.
History of the partnership
The partnership was established in 2013 as a result of Big Lottery funding won by Citizens Advice in North & West Kent as part of the Advice Services Transition Fund programme. The aim of the project was to establish a rapid and secure referral service between the partners so that clients would no longer have to contact each agency individually to receive help. In addition, the partnership would meet periodically to see how best to improve services for clients.
Advice Together now
While the Big Lottery funding has ceased, the partnership continues with funding contributions from each member to maintain its administration and the cost of the online secure referral system ‘Nellbooker’.
We now have members covering the Districts and Boroughs of Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Malling, and Tunbridge Wells. You can see details of our members and the services that they offer on our website pages. We are very welcoming to other advice agencies and groups that would like to join the partnership. If you would like to learn more about joining, please see the Contact Us page to email us for more information.
